Ruth Hammond is a freelance illustrator based in the historical city of York, in the United Kingdom.
She loves using bold colours and textures to create fun and whimsical illustrations for children's books, using a mixture of traditional and digital textures (coloured pencils, gouache and her tablet are her best friends).
In her free time she enjoys scribbling down little stories, taking long walks in the sunshine, being snuggly on the sofa, and drinking too much tea for her own good.
She has worked on projects for Penguin Randomhouse, HarperCollins, 3dtotal, Pearson Ltd. and Cats Protection.
